Throwing in the Traveling Towel

It's been great but this gal is downright exhausted from traveling! Scottsdale was just beautiful, clear blue sky's with highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's. We arrived late Sunday afternoon with just enough time to get ready for a 6pm reception and then dinner at the Wrigley Mansion. We enjoyed a few cocktails while we toured this beautiful historic site and after that we sat down for a nice filet dinner in the very room where Mr. Wrigley himself used to sleep and eventually passed. Yeah I know, kind of creepy huh?
On Monday I decided to walk around the grounds of the hotel while grandpa was in conference it was absolutely breathtaking! All the pools and waterfalls really made me feel like I was somewhere tropical. The spa at the hotel was booked up so I drove to the nearest massage envy and hair salon to get an aroma therapy massage and my hair done before the evenings dinner party. Grandpa and I both enjoyed the night socializing and walking around even though it was held outdoors and the temperature was a bit too cold for my liking we had a very nice night.

Tuesday morning it was back to meetings for grandpa so I took advantage of one of the many adventure packages the hotel offered and went horseback riding for an hour it was so much fun. I wish they would have allowed us to take our cameras while riding because the desert and creeks below the hills were so pretty. I was able to snap this picture of my horse before we started off, his name was "Buck" and I have to admit the name made me a little nervous at first but he was calm as could be and so beautiful.

We are back home now just a week from Thanksgiving, I really can't believe the holidays are already here and that the year has gone by so fast, so much to do so little time.

I hope you all are considering signing up for our "New Year's Cocktail Glass Exchange" more information can be found by clicking on the New Year's Button located on the left of my main page. Please help us out by grabbing it and placing it on your own pages, maybe your followers would like to join us. The more the merrier! it is really going to be fun ringing in the New Year with our fellow bloggers =) and I personally can't wait!
